I’ve been deep in “book mind,” working on a project, so I have to force myself to go outside and smell the roses, which is my favorite time of the year. Except this year it’s been COLD. When I was a senior in high school, Joni Mitchell’s album For The Roses was on heavy, heavy rotation. So today, instead of some deep thoughts about something, let’s just take a moment…for the roses! These were all taken this morning.
My newest rose. Got her on a going out of business sale.
I love to rescue plants and trees and give them a loving home.
One of my oldest roses, and first and last to bloom of the season. Don’t ask me her name. I don’t know.
Another view. Thing love not being weeded!
A stunner.
My mother in law’s old roses that spread through the roots. The best rose smell ever!
Look, it’s climbing the tree!
Can you smell it?
A teeny tiny alpine rose.
My late bloomer. When she’s ready…
Not a rose! But a moth mullion that I did not plant! (What some might call a weed).
Good old multiflora.
The stray cat who comes to visit. Isn’t she gorgeous? I dreamed about her last night.
i smelled them!!!!
hehehe
I have some multi flora that i staked.. what a lovely scent!!
Inspired! Sadly all my roses die.
