Who Am I?

I am an explorer in search of the mysteries of the universe. I am the author of Love Nature Magic, Organic Manifesto, and Scratch. But I am also an artist, activist, and recovering CEO, who is the co-chair of the board of the Rodale Institute. From the very beginning, I have advocated for the potential of organic regenerative farming to heal the damage wrought by pesticides and industrial agricultural practices (I am a third-generation activist in this space). I am also a secret (soon to be revealed) children’s book author. You might have seen and heard me in the documentary Kiss the Ground. I’m at the end, talking about love. Love is the path I walk on.

Mom of three daughters born in three different decades and grandmother, I am a crazy gardener who lives in my magic garden in Pennsylvania, right near where I was born.

I’m a little bit weird but that’s what makes life fun.
