We have way more chickens laying way more eggs than we need. During the summer, we get about 3 dozen a week for a household of 3 people. I was giving them to friends and neighbors and then I tried selling them for $5 dozen during the egg shortage, until a friend came to get a dozen and told me, "The reason people aren't buying them is because it's easier to just buy them in the store while they're shopping. I wouldn't make a special trip to buy them from you...but if you're going to give them to me, I'll come over."
That ended my giving my eggs to freeloading friends and neighbors. I give them to a local food bank...to people who need them. And I'll do them same with my garden vegetables!
Jeezus girl you are super powerful. Happy Fourth, too!

Excellent! Thank you!
Thank you for this, I needed to hear it. I'm not in America but your thoughts are very relevant to us in Europe too. Stay strong over there.
You too!
Thank YOU for your positive thoughts!
I especially love the idea of planting those trees ☺️
Thanks so much for this uplifting perspective, Maria!
Putting children first in all decion making, including all children of nature, is to follow Nature's first principles, and therefore a winner.
Powerful words of practical wisdom and means of making change!
P.S.: Your garlic looks scrumptious.
