This so speaks to me today, Maria. I recently got a white board and some dry erase markers and now just draw colorful images and quotes every day - and then start over. I am intentionally seeing more live music and just saw the Becoming Led Zeppelin film. Joy, people, music, community. Let's go.
These seeds of hope, indeed, feel like a beacon. Art, always art. In addition, your first suggestion, "To reach out to the people you know who have good reason to be afraid and assure them that you are a safe place for them. That’s how underground networks are created." is a wonderful reminder, particularly for those of us more protected.
THANK YOU for urging us all to dig deep, create, and remember (and BE AWARE of) all the EDITING being done to our perception of reality by certain entities.
We can’t allow ourselves to be duped.
And finally, I, too, was THRILLED by Kendrick’s break of the fourth wall stating the revolution WILL be televised!
So much wisdom in this post, Maria. I feel you 'gathering steam' as you lean into your truth, your ways of seeing and feeling 'the way' through times like this, as though you were built for just such times... (which you probably were!) and I am grateful. The weed metaphor is brilliant! I always look to nature for good counsel in difficult times. The 'answers' are oblique and ring with a deeper truth than any platitudes. As I read and resonate with various writers, I sense a huge oceanic wave beginning to crest far out beyond the shoreline, building muscle, gaining momentum, gathering what I can barely see with 'my little eye'... It is not a platitude to say that this is a wave of Love surging from the depths of Earth, and swelling within our hearts too. To quote your last line, We ARE, all of us, worthy of Love. May we let it move us... Thank you!
Thank you for these wise words, especially today. I’ve just deactivated FB (with the option to return) allowing more time to focus on creating anew. For many years before entering the non-profit sector, I was a professional artist. Now, it’s purely for soul searching, reinforcing what I learn and healing. Perhaps one day it will be shared again, but it’s no longer a priority. Regathering my own concentration and ability to express without need for approval is a GREAT feeling! Thank you again!
Thank you so much for your perspective! I really appreciate your voice and wisdom. We ARE all artists and we will find our way through this together, with lots of imagination fueled by love.

Exactly!
I can’t LOVE this enough.

Yay!
Hahaha - I just realized that I entirely overused my annual quota of words in all caps. Sorry!
Great post. Love the halftime show too. Absolutely riveting.

Thank you, Maria. I really appreciate your comments 😍
We ARE all artists and art heals all hearts. For some, eventually but art always heals. Always.

“If you are not scared when you create something, then it’s not the full truth.” Needed that today. Thank you!
